As a Security Officer – Armed Transit Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to the community. This position is both armed and requires driving, so you will be responsible for navigating the premises and responding promptly to any situations that arise. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, prioritizing the needs of the location and its occupants.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or address concerns as they arise.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at the location, including providing assistance or information as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
• Collaborate with public service personnel and other stakeholders during incidents or emergencies at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess an active armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
