As a Security Officer - Healthcare Armed Screener in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for everyone entering the facility. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and screen individuals entering the healthcare location in a courteous and professional manner.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and screening protocols.
• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff while performing security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents as required by site protocols.

• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
