As a Security Professional - Patrol Access in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry points, managing badge access, and responding to alarm panels. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. You will use computers and tablets to support your daily tasks, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit from designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Assist with implementing site-specific security-related policies and procedures as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
