As a Security Professional - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols of the facility, monitoring for unusual activity, and providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also be expected to respond promptly to calls for service, assist with access control, and support emergency procedures as needed. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, as you interact with individuals throughout the location. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including coordination with healthcare personnel and local authorities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
  • Support a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all individuals at the healthcare location while performing security-related duties.

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
