As a Security Guard - Government Site - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment within a government setting. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned location, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those in the area. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the premises, responding promptly to situations, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a caring approach. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required in response to incidents.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on all security-related incidents, activities, and observations during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
