As a Screener supporting a prominent government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout your assigned area to help deter security-related incidents. You will be the first point of contact for individuals entering the facility, providing courteous assistance and clear communication while upholding access protocols. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or members of the public in a professional manner while following site-specific security-related procedures.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly flow of people into the government facility.
• Conduct screening of individuals, bags, and/or packages as required by site protocols, using provided equipment or manual inspection.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a secure environment.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing screening duties and during any assigned patrols around the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
