As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

In this armed patrol position, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to situations as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate armed response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
• Work closely with healthcare staff and visitors to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and verification of credentials as needed.
• Document incidents and maintain thorough records in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt to evolving situations as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
