As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a respected cultural institution. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This armed post requires you to remain alert and professional while interacting with staff, guests, and visitors, always demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication skills. You will be trusted to uphold the highest standards of integrity while supporting access control and monitoring alarm panels as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a security-related presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and guests in a courteous and professional manner, addressing questions and concerns as appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
