As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play an important role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will be visible and approachable, providing outstanding customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal—agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This post requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. You will interact with a variety of individuals, respond to incidents, and support a culture where people come first. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel and visitors.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment by observing and reporting any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and offering directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Support emergency response activities as required, working closely with site personnel and first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are a preference.
• Customer service experience is a preference.
• Access control or badge experience is a preference.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
