As a Security Guard - Utilities Access Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a leading utility provider location, you will play a key role in access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately in daily logs and reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience working in limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
