As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol - Morning Shift in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a vital role in helping to create a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Stationed at the front desk, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while monitoring access and responding to security-related inquiries. Your presence helps to deter incidents and promotes a sense of order within the facility. You will be expected to communicate clearly, maintain a professional demeanor, and uphold our core values of agility, reliability, and integrity. By supporting a caring culture that puts people first and working collaboratively with your team, you will contribute to a positive and secure atmosphere that supports the educational mission of the location.

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor check-ins and check-outs, and document security-related incidents as necessary.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
• Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, providing information and/or assistance as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
