As a Security Officer - Commercial Building - Full Time in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal serving a commercial real estate location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the property. You will interact regularly with tenants, guests, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication as you address inquiries or concerns. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle in addition to walking rounds. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and/or local authorities as needed, following established protocols.
• Document and report observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to company and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
