As a Security Officer - Armed Corrections Patrol in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer in a corrections environment, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and orderly atmosphere. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This armed position also requires you to be prepared to respond swiftly and professionally to any incidents that may arise. Since this role includes driving responsibilities, you will be tasked with operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the correctional facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
• Assist with the enforcement of facility rules, regulations, and policies as directed by site leadership.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with team members and site personnel regarding security-related matters and incidents.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
