As a Security Officer - Access Control - Unarmed Post in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading manufacturing and industrial location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and managing access points, conducting routine patrols throughout the site, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding site protocols. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company or site vehicle as required. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any irregularities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.
• Remain alert to any unusual activity or potential security-related hazards within the manufacturing and industrial setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; driving experience is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
