As a Security Professional - Dispatch Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating security-related communications, responding promptly to incidents, and dispatching appropriate personnel as needed. You will help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a visible and professional presence, while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed throughout the location.
  • Receive and document calls for service, incidents, and emergencies, relaying critical information to appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatch activities, incidents, and relevant communications.
  • Coordinate with on-site security-related staff to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment within the educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting students, staff, and visitors with inquiries and security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal team members and location stakeholders to support daily operations and/or emergency response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
