As a Security Officer - Industrial Site - Morning Shift in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond promptly to any concerns. Your presence and professionalism will support a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and contractors alike. In this role, you will utilize your strong communication and customer service skills to interact with individuals on-site, while also monitoring access points and reporting any unusual activity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and report any irregularities or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and/or visitors regarding security-related matters.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Support site access control measures, including verifying credentials and/or monitoring entry points as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with customer service is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
