As a Security Guard - Access Control - Weekdays in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading technology, media, and telecommunications location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors and employees with access needs. You will conduct regular patrols of the premises, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism. This position may involve working at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as rustic guard shacks, so adaptability and comfort in various work settings are important. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Monitor access points and control entry to the premises, verifying identification and credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities encountered during assigned shifts.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members, site staff, and visitors to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
