As a Security Professional Chemical Access Control in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in access control operations at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols of the premises, and helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attention to detail. You will interact regularly with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Working in a dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. This position may require driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access at entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
• Verify identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access control and security-related procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of all activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during the shift.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with site evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Experience working in limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
