As a Security Officer Chemical Access Patrol in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area. You will also serve as a visible presence, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. This post requires the use of a computer or tablet for logging activities and incident reporting. As this is a driving position, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Monitor security-related systems and respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activity, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential risks and identify any unusual conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access procedures and answering questions related to security-related matters.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document and report any incidents, security-related breaches, or irregularities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.
• Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
