As a Security Professional Access Control Chemical in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry and exit points and conducting routine patrols throughout the site. Your presence will help to deter unauthorized activity and support the overall security-related operations of the facility. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This role requires comfort working in unique on-site facilities and a willingness to adapt to various environments. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Assist with security-related procedures, including checking identification and logging visitor information as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by answering questions and offering assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities according to site protocols, including evacuation and/or lockdown procedures if necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and observations.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related concerns and/or issues specific to the chemical and petrochemical location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Preference will be given to those who can meet this requirement.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
