As a Security Officer - Chemical Site - Access Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting security-related operations at a leading chemical and petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will involve monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, helping to deter incidents, and managing access points to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and other security-related events as required by site policies.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors to address questions related to access control and site procedures.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
