As a Security Professional - - Campus Center - Front Desk - Evening Shift in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent education location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge procedures, all while providing outstanding customer service. By remaining present and attentive at the front desk, you help to deter security-related incidents and serve as the first point of contact for those entering the facility. You will be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to inquiries or concerns, embodying Allied Universal's values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of an educational location.
  • Monitor access to the building by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and/or incidents as required by site-specific policies.
  • Assist with visitor management, including signing in guests and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
