As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic educational location, you will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service to everyone entering the premises. You will be the first point of contact, helping to create a positive experience while assisting with inquiries and responding to security-related incidents as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff at the front desk, providing a professional and welcoming presence.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor check-ins and check-outs.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related procedures and protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including alerting appropriate personnel and following emergency procedures.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
