As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols across assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. You will be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to any situations that may arise, always upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and innovation. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a logistics and distribution environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential issues.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, or potential threats and report findings promptly according to company procedures.
  • Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain order at the location.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, following Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
