As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site - Afternoon Shifts in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents while patrolling designated government locations. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Remain alert to potential threats or unusual activities, addressing them according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card and/or license as required by applicable law.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
