As a Security Officer - Patrol Armed in Bellingham, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment within a financial institution. You will conduct thorough patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity while providing a reassuring atmosphere for those onsite. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents as needed, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear and professional communication. This armed position requires you to be alert and proactive, using your training to address security-related situations with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor surroundings for unusual behavior or potential threats, reporting observations promptly to the appropriate parties.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as directed.
  • Complete required reports and documentation for incidents, observations, and/or routine activities during the shift.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique needs and risks associated with financial institution locations, adapting responses accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or more years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
