As a Security Professional - Utilities Patrols in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a major utility location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment for critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the site. You will remain highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, while also providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and personnel. The work environment may include unique settings such as rustic guard shacks or limited on-site facilities. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals at utility locations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, observing for irregularities and reporting any concerns.
• Maintain detailed logs of access control activities, visitor entries, and other relevant occurrences as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for all individuals on location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• It is preferred that candidates are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
