As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a major utilities location, you will play a key role in access control and help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter unauthorized activity, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals on site. This post may involve working in environments with limited on-site facilities, such as rustic guard shacks or portable toilets. You will be expected to use technology such as computers or tablets for reporting and communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of personnel entering restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for utility environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and observe for potential hazards.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed during emergencies or unusual situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
