As a Security Guard - Government Facility - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location by performing unarmed patrol duties. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will serve as a point of contact for those in need of assistance and help to foster a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, offering support and guidance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at the location, including staff, visitors, and residents, to address concerns and provide assistance.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Remain alert and aware of the surroundings at all times while on duty, adapting to changing situations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must possess proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
