Job Description


As a Security Officer - Financial Site - Afternoon Shift in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by conducting regular patrols and being a visible presence throughout the premises. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, assisting employees and visitors, and responding to security-related incidents as needed. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members and the public, and use technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily routine. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at financial institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as necessary.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
