As a Armed Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter potential security-related incidents, and responding to situations as they arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and responsibly handle a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents or hazards promptly to appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide a reassuring presence.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as site-specific instructions and training for armed patrol officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid Corrections Officer License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
