As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Overnight Shift in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for both customers and staff. You will interact with the public, respond to various situations, and communicate clearly and professionally at all times. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as you complete your patrols across the property. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the store and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials when required.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency services.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all patrols, incidents, and interactions as required by site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with store staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
