As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Morning Shift in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help foster a secure and welcoming environment within a bustling retail location. Your role will focus on conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all guests and staff. You will interact with a diverse range of people, responding to situations as they arise and supporting a positive shopping experience. This position requires you to drive as part of your patrol responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and identify any unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, communicating promptly with the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
  • Complete required reports and documentation regarding daily activities, incidents, and observations as directed by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
