As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for any unusual activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas of the retail environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and site protocols.
• Support retail staff and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed, while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Collaborate with local management and/or law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
