As a Unarmed Security Officer - Utilities Site in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a utilities location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site, especially within utility-focused locations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
