As a Armed Security Officer - Front Desk in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for employees, clients, and visitors. Your primary role will be to provide a welcoming and professional presence while monitoring access and assisting with badge procedures. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining high visibility at the front desk, responding to inquiries, and supporting a secure environment through excellent customer service. This position is armed, requiring the appropriate licensing and certifications. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk location.
• Monitor access to the building, verify identification, and log visitors and/or employees as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, communicating clearly with both internal and external contacts.
• Help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity by maintaining a professional presence at the front desk.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, providing information in a courteous manner.
• Maintain accurate records and/or reports related to front desk operations and security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Level III Armed Certification required for roles in Texas.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
