As a Security Officer Government Patrols in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play an important role in helping to create a secure environment within a government-related location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and personnel. You will interact with people from diverse backgrounds, respond to security-related inquiries, and support access control measures as needed. This position is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the job state and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
