As a Security Professional - Chemical Site - Access Control in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge access. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will work closely with site teams and utilize your communication skills to address inquiries and support the overall security-related operations of the facility. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and permissions for entry and exit of personnel, contractors, and visitors.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees and/or visitors with inquiries and following site-specific security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity and/or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and client contacts as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and patrols according to site guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and client procedures, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
