As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Full-Time in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will be expected to carry a firearm as part of your duties, demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment at all times. In addition to monitoring activity and reporting any concerns, you will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and appropriate protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related concerns, including potential threats or emergencies, as they arise.
  • Carry and appropriately manage assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in compliance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience required. 
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
