As a Security Professional - Retail Center - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail and mall environment, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to promote a secure environment, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, assisting guests and tenants with inquiries and directions to enhance their experience. This position is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site policies.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies or drills as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
