As a Security Professional - Armed Corrections Patrol in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a corrections location. In this armed and driving role, you will conduct regular patrols, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include responding promptly to incidents, upholding site protocols, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication and professional presence. This position requires you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies within a corrections environment.
• Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and/or detainees as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required by the location and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or exit from restricted areas.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or hold a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license issued in the job state and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
