As a Security Officer - Warehouse Site - Overnight Shift in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic technology-focused location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control as needed. You will be an approachable presence, providing exceptional customer service and communication to all staff and visitors. By responding promptly to situations and working collaboratively with your team, you will help foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the tech and media environment, maintaining detailed records as required by Allied Universal.
  • Collaborate with other team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for staff and visitors.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and permissions as required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert to changes in the work environment, adapting patrols and responses to meet the unique needs of a tech, media, and telecom location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
