As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team serving a government location, you will take on the important responsibilities of an Armed Patrol Officer. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will be entrusted with carrying a firearm and must adhere to all protocols for armed posts. This position also requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols specific to the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and credentials as required by site protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established communication protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and contractors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
