As a Security Guard Access Control Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, managing badge entry systems, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property to help deter security-related incidents. You will be the first point of contact for those entering the building, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using computers or tablets and who have experience with alarm panels or access control systems. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the commercial real estate location.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with Allied Universal and/or local authorities according to procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
