As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and managing access points. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized entry, contributing to a protected atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to provide reassurance, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. Utilizing technology such as computers or tablets, you will document activities and communicate with team members to support a collaborative and reliable environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for manufacturing and industrial settings.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document observations and incidents as required, maintaining accurate records for the location.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related concerns and/or incidents.

What We’re Looking For:

• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
