As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, being highly visible to help prevent incidents, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, so you will be required to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will also interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying identification and controlling access as required.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or breaches of policy to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities.
• Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and provide guidance as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client expectations.
• Remain alert and prepared to act as the first responder to emergencies, utilizing training and judgment to address situations appropriately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that are primarily driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
