As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. You will conduct regular armed patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site. In this position, your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable and supported. You will respond to incidents as needed, communicate clearly with clients and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service at all times. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter, monitoring for any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with company and location protocols, following all applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities within the government facility.
• Document observations and incidents accurately, submitting detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and location protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid corrections officer license.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
