As a Security Officer - Residential Site - Full Time in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure and welcoming environment within a residential community. Your role will involve conducting regular patrols throughout the location, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interacting with residents and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, responding to alarm panels, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to document your activities. By delivering exceptional communication and support, you will contribute to a positive living experience for everyone on the premises. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
• Observe and report any suspicious behaviors, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel and/or management.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as necessary, while providing assistance to residents and visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
