As a Security Officer - Access Control in SALISBURY , MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will be responsible for access control, helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your role involves monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location, following established protocols for a food and beverage environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and escalating as necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
• Verify identification and credentials for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with location policies.
• Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related matters or incidents.
• Assist with implementing procedures related to the handling and storage of materials specific to food and beverage operations, as required by the client.
• Support emergency response actions, such as evacuations or lockdowns, when appropriate and in alignment with site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
