As a Security Officer - Education Site Patrol - Full Time in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a secure environment within an educational setting. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols across the campus, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will interact daily with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive atmosphere at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
• Support Allied Universal’s commitment to customer service and security-related best practices in the educational setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
